However on the other hand I don't always believe in the power of technology and science to solve every problem. For example here in the US we have been spending tons of money and using lots of resources for the past 40 years in search of a cure for cancer and yet none have been found. And it's not like there isn't a great financial reward involved. Just imagine how much Steve Jobs would have paid for a cure. And as far as I know so far Mr. Spock has yet to show up with some dilithium crystals to solve the world's energy problems. Some natural laws are yet to be broken. The one about there being no such thing as a perpetual motion machine seems particularly stubborn.
