Well, for posterity and completeness, here is the SB Boom. Internal DAC is the TI TAS3204.
Like with the Radio, this was connected from the headphone out in the back --> E-MU 0404USB. 14435 Again, not a hi-fi unit by any means. OK dynamic range but stereo crosstalk is a bit on the high side. Like the Radio, you can see a slight improvement with 24-bit data but not much of an improvement to call it worthwhile.
