The main reason I did not sell off my vinyl is because I bought a used Linn LP12 in the early days of CDs and never felt that there was enough of improvement to justify replacing the LPs with CDs. Of course things are a little different now with the Transporter and the ease of listening to streamed music but I digress. So to answer your question no I have not made any needle drops mainly because just as we are all concerned about the quality of the DAC used during playback we should also be concerned about the quality of the ADC when doing a needle drop. Quite frankly the only ADC I would have access to when doing a needle drop is the one in my HP laptop and I don't think the quality of that ADC merits all the work needed when doing a proper needle drop.
