Ouch! Nah I know you're kidding, don't worry! I own active ATCs, 'nuff said, so like Mynb a stiff drink is needed now and then. I prefer the truth, even if it's that a lot of my favourite music could sound much better! Equally, I'm left in no doubt if a recording is good. In the real world, everything is a compromise, including where you AIM on the objective-to-subjective scale, let alone what you can achieve at home or in budget, and we shouldn't kid ourselves otherwise.
