By the way, I do understand that a people can actually train themselves to hear artifacts in lossy music. It is possible (but not something I'd want to do). But even this is based on detecting certain very specific cues and is not the same as an entire song sounding like a carpet was laid over the the front of speakers, or the room opened up, etc.
