I would agree with you on that one. The interesting thing (to me) is the
discovery that even the LPs that have been cut from the same stamper
(indicating that they're definitely from the same master) tend to sound
different. So although mastering is the key, there's still something
else going on. I'm not calling it magic, but some random fact of chance
definitely seems to be playing a role. Otherwise all LPs cut from the
same production line/stampers would be indistinguishable.
