What the inventors of all the high end streamers never gets is the
integration of whole networked system like LMS/Squeezebox or to some
part Sonos and Solos .

They can fill it with all the high end gizmos they want the experience
of actually using the product will be at best unimaginitave but possibly
horrible .

Another meh streamer in aluminium box ? if they ever spend as much
resources and imagination at the " backend " but no ,some generic DLNA
solution/chip of the shelf ( o gosh did it cost that much doing software
) with what little they have left in the project budget .

sound quality is dare I say it a solved problem ,solve the other problem
of building a great system and ecosystem !

A networked player conected to DAC ain't that bad considering the
involved parties can do what do best .

The Transporter was a true one off a kind , a good DAC and a good
network streamer in the same box ? do we ever see that again ? ( well to
some extent the Touch is that to ) possible the CSOS project .

The LMS ecosystem can be improved upon greatly but nothing I've seen yet
actually does it ? so I have my spare Touches boxed away and waiting for
the comunity player to be ready .

When the guys have done the CSOS and squeezelite and the player hardware
launch ready then we will have something to replace our ageing players
with :) I think they be done before any comercial vendor actually gets
it ? I'm not an optimist here , but since the typical hifi brand don't
get there is simply no competition so CSOS can take the time it takes to
do it ? It's not like there is an alternative.....

Re ecosystem some built in music stores would be great , anyone trying
that besides iTunes and Pono ?
