As usual you leave out so many of the critical details. The potential flaw in my files that I addressed most recently was based on an AES paper that came out *-after-* the AVS tests. "The Audibility of Typical Digital Audio Filters in a High-Fidelity Playback System" https://secure.aes.org/forum/pubs/conventions/?ID=416 I have no control over the mileposts related to scientific progress. The best I can do is try to keep up. > > At least Uptone Audio found an improvement with a month - you took 15 > years to realise your mistake. > Most of the so-called mistakes in my test files related to new forms of user stress that came about during the AVS tests. This affected everybody. Please note that no files offered during those tests by myself or anybody else were found to be error free. All of the errors and shortcomings were confirmed by DBTs. Now make that claim about your work and the work you seem to favor! At least I have publicly admitted the problems that were found and tried to address them. Yes, there has been intermediate testing by others and that is in the public record at HA. ASAP I provided new updated files. Is that a crime? My product is offered for free, with no guarantees. This is how science works. This attempt to conflate commercial products sold for profit (apparently great profit!) with ongoing scientific work with no fees or charges involved seems to be inappropriate. > > Remind us, after you discovered this "flaw" - how many further "flawed" > releases did you make Read the thread - there were several iterations, but the later work was not so much about removing flaws as smoothing out some rough parts that did not relate to the SR test itself. Only the future holds the final answer. Unlike you I don't know all the answers in advance of the questions being asked. ;-) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ arnyk's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64365 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103684 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
