The only thing I have great difficulty in understanding is why you don't understand what a circle jerk the whole USB DAC thing is. Perhaps the term "whack-a-mole" better describes the whole process - "solve" one "problem" and, what a surprise, another "problem" just so happens to pop up. Whack-a-mole or circle jerk, your choice. jkeny wrote: > WiFi-attached SB devices? Is not "wi-fi" the correct term for the system used to wireless stream audio via my home network to a Transporter? Last time I checked there were no wires or any other kind of "hard" connection from the computer on which all my digital music is located to my stereo used to listen to that music. Am I missing something? Now if you want to tell me that the internal noise of my music server computer is somehow being wirelessly transmitted to my stereo then i must tell you I use a system of my own design which purifies the air in my home and aligns all the air molecules so that any wirelessly transmitted noise is completely eliminated. And I've done many listening tests to prove it! Unfortunately this system air purification and alignment system costs many orders of magnitude more than the $175 USR device. I strongly suggest that you stick with a USB DAC and wait for the next mole to pop up. I think I seeing him peeping out of his hole.
