Cool I'm becoming more and more inclined to try genelec when my Meridian gear gives up the ghost (but i still have a lot of years to go on them ) . But on the topic I like the circle of confusion reasoning (Ive heard it before) even when presented with a neutral speaker of the best possible design we might still not like what we hear due to varying recording quality and mixes done in very non neutral settings . Well balanced recordings comes first , you wonder on some albums..... (not speaking of loudness war just the general balance etc ) . There is a topic probably for another tread or another forum . Why have not music studios mixing environment become more standardized ? Cinema I think is way ahead they mix in theatres that have similar properties to what audiences will hear and playback levels at the cinema is standardized . -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub.
