As per your claims earlier, multiple domains of testing appear highly important for you including "fluctuating noise floor", and now the trivial "multi-tone tests" to show significant effects important for audiophiles to be aware of. Not only this, it appears you have confidence in the ability and insight in the art of administration and analysis of subjective testing; separating those that are worthwhile from the worthless. Sadly, you've posted countless times in the last 72+ hours to many members here and it appears on the whole nothing new has been agreed. No facts uncovered. No verification of claims offered. You bring up the UpTone Regen again (do you have stock in the company or something?). Please have patience with the company to produce objective results (as you claim) so we can see what they feel improved with this 1-port USB hub. *Given your engineering skills, don't you think that if you took some time in the last 72 hours producing interesting results like your test of fluctuating noise floor and multi-tone tests on your gear and putting them on the web would be interesting for everyone including potential customers?* Of course you would have access to sophisticated test equipment and some of your own customized test batteries given the importance of verification of your designs. Maybe a demonstration of how much better the DAC works on battery vs. AC adaptor. Or how about for the Squeezebox community a demonstration of battery-operated Touch vs. the wallwart? Surely this would greatly benefit everyone and elevate your status as an audio hardware engineer! The kind of man Stereophile/AudioStream should interview for a special 2-part discussion on the design of DACs, current limitations of computer audio, and visions of future directions. -Surely, the folks here on this forum must be truly not worth your while! -We're a small group. Primarily home users. Blog posters. On a site created for a line of products discontinued years ago! I'm sure your knowledge would be much appreciated and beneficial at DIY and builder forums like diyAudio, diyHiFi, or the DIY HeadFi site... Likewise, I suspect you will find many interested in collaborating with your viewpoints on places like AudioAsylum. So I'm curious. What keeps you here? Do you just enjoy the arguments?
