Thanks for putting in the time to put together this plan & writing it
up.

Can I suggest some changes?

I think you should spend some time with Regen listening before test day.
It's a mistake to rush into listening & then blind listening without
first doing what I said - identifying a specific audible feature that
can be consistently identified sighted. This may take listening sighted
for a while & to different music before being able to identify a
specific audible feature because the Regen perceptually lowers the noise
floor which improves the clarity & detail of what's heard. It's not
improving the noise floor that is there on silent parts of the track but
the noise floor out of which music emanates - hence my theory of what it
is doing. You will know after you have spent some time listening to it
if you think the audible difference is subtle or not.

I also think you should give your friends a chance to have a longer time
to get acquainted with the sound but you can judge this yourself
depending on how noticeable you find the difference - I'm just making
sure that you don't unduly rush through listening, sighted and blind.

Maybe send it to them for them to get acquainted with it too? You
allocate the day just to listen & identify the specifics of the

An individual's blind tests are given their fairest chance when a
specific audible element is identified & this should be the sole focus
in the blind test
