I wanted to get a Pi to run LMS so I decided on the Pro since it wasn't much more money. It sounds better than my Duet optical out. But after reading their description I decided to run the RCA out because they pointed out it was what made a difference(output transformer), plus you need to ground your DAC.

I was getting very slight drop outs not really irritating but occasionally.
