aufs2.2-38 has CONFIG_AUFS_HNOTIFY and CONFIG_AUFS_HFSNOTIFY. INOTIFY was removed by linux-2.6.36 internaly and its backend was replaced by fsnotify. Of course, the inotify user interface is kept. Try enabling HFSNOTIFY and "udba=notify" By the way, your mail is formatted in MIME and contains bothe of HTML and text. It is hard for me to decode MIME and extract plain text.
