I am afraid it is unrelated to this patch.
You right. This is Virtual Box problem. The error does not happen on real
machine. So there is nothing to worry about.

I'd ask you one more tests.
Here is a new tmpfs-idr.patch for next aufs release. It is much more
simplified.

Sure. I tried patch. Everything went fine - patching, compiling, booting.
There was no errors so far.
After creating and deleting files on aufs partition the space is being
reclaimed.
I will watch it and if something will happen I will report back on it.
Feel free to ask for more tests.
