What was the topic? Something like "Is gliding dangerous"? If the answer is "gliding is dangerous", then how might we go about making it safer? Are there any specific areas or activities which are either obviously more dangerous or probably more dangerous where we might start? (Not including banning winch launching.) The accident reports from GA quoted some days ago showed many times more landing accidents than anything else. Admittedly many of these were just plain old German undercarriage collapses (how long does it take to get a design right?) but others were due landing practices which could be improved on.
