Mant many thanks Mark (and all the others involved).
This is a prime example of some of the selflessness that keeps us all flying. Would there be anybody out there who would have a second to post to the group a basic course 101 on interpreting the charts? Others on Aus soaring could add to it, comment on content, and some discussion on issues. I am very sure that within a week, we would have collectively the best data availble on using these charts. I would suggest that condensing this into one document would make an excellent help page on your site! So, anybody game to start the ball rolling? >From: Mark Newton <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >Subject: Re: [aus-soaring] New Australian Temp Trace site >Date: Fri, 8 Feb 2002 23:13:08 +1030 > >On thing I didn't mention in my previous posting (it's on the website, >but it won't hurt to describe it here...) > >The new system is able to be customized on a per-location basis. >For an example of what I mean, compare the output of a Sydney sample >to the output of an Adelaide sample -- The Adelaide version has been >customized with Adelaide-specific info. > >My intention is that commonly used locations will be displayed with >links to local soaring clubs, the local BoM forecast for that area, >maps, info for visiting pilots, roadmaps showing where the airfields >are, links to airfield webcams, and so on. > >So if there's anything you'd like added to the readout for your area, >drop me some URLs in an email message and I'll pop 'em in. > >Regards, > > - mark > >-------------------------------------------------------------------- >I tried an internal modem, [EMAIL PROTECTED] > but it hurt when I walked.
