It's certainly possible...BUT Pity the poor scorer, already under pressure to get scores out asap whilst dealing with pilot queries, late arrival of loggers (only some of which are due to outlandings :-) who now has to fight their way onto the Internet on variable quality dial up lines, upload quite a few MB of data (some LOGS are several MBs) and get them correctly located so that you at home can enjoy a virtual maggot race. After this he has to go to bed and get enough sleep to deal with the pilot queries in a calm and sensible manner - starting before breakfast at 06:30! Having just been a contest organiser at a large comp (50+ gliders and 70+ pilots), the workload of just RUNNING a comp is pretty damn significant. I was lucky in that I had two very competent people (plus download helpers) dealing with the scoring. Even so, there were nights that they didn't finish until after midnight! Adding to that load for 'the people at home' would be the absolute BOTTOM of my priorities!!! There's also the issue of the actual web resource (and programming) required. Now - if the GFA would set up a system on their web site so that comps could simply upload scores - and if desired, traces, then that would be different.
