There are one or 1 little glitches

The mosaics vary in resolution: Bondi Beach for example is a low resolution picture, but at Hornsby, north of Sydney, you can see the shadows of people playing tennis on the courts there

You can also tilt the viewing angle.

As John says, a fascinating application that you can spend hours playing with. There is a gliding site in the states where you can see a glider on tow behind a Super Cub.

One further problem for anyone thinking of trying it at work: it stuffs megabyte upon megabyte into its own cache, and the first time you will be aware of it is when  you cannot log off due to a lack of  environment space. The solution is to find the cache and delete it.

Hi all,

Little off subject but have you seen Google Earth, absolutely amazing access to satellite images world wide. the site offers continuous coverage of the whole globe via the browsing software (free download) resolution varies from area to area but you can make out individual people on the highest resolution! shows Long and Lat  of where you are viewing, measuring tools etc. so could be used for task setting etc!

Access is free unless you want their commercial version.

WARNING however - this is addictive and likely to burn up hours in front of your screen!!!

Cheers,

John Parncutt
