G'day All,
I reckon the NZ Gran-Prix qualifier is going to be a real winner for the
sport! I'm certainly excited by it, I just hope other countries can put on
the show that NZ is most likely going to put on.
They say on their website that there will be Helicopters roaming around the
course, 15,000 spectators expected, ground activities for all and TV
coverage. I hope they get a couple of days where they get two heats in.
Cant wait to buy the competition DVD when it comes out!
Never know, in the future they may be able to run the show like a Tennis
event. That is, have a ladder, and at the end of the week(s), the top 10 go
head-to-head in one final race.
I just hope it go's PRO one day! Then I'll be able to tell my folks that
you can make money out of gliding!!!!

P.s. Flying for www.ausjet.com.au out of Groote Eylandt, NT. Flying a C210
at the moment, and soon onto a Baron! The downside, is that I wont be doing
any gliding for 12 months :(
