There is a commercial crowd the records circuit calls at airports then bills
the registered owner of the aircraft making the call, on behalf of the
airport operator, you've probably got caught up with one of those who has
missread a call (or the caller was deliberately slurred).

We've (Canberra Gliding Club) had landing fee charges from airports for our
tug - where it's never ever been. We also had a refueler's account at one
stage from Alice Springs (I think it was) for one of our gliders!!

Suggest you say to them the onus is on them to prove you were there, you'll
be happy to see them in court and they had better be prepared to pay your
barrister's costs.

Subject: Re: [Aus-soaring] Gliding at "major" airports

Speaking of user fees, I have had two bills in 2004 from Camden airport,
although I have never flown there.
Their response is unsatisfying - they want me to prove that I was never
there.
Has this happened to anyone else?
