Don't forget all of these power lines were built in the pre computer
days (let alone pre GPS) so location data may exist only on paper. Or
(since the general "downsizing" of the industry over the last 15 years)
it may have been lost and no meaningful location data of any kind may
exist in some cases. While many of the utilities are, or have
implimented GIS systems, the SWER system is very low cost and dispersed
infrastructure so tends to be amongst the last to be included. I am sure
there are large areas of Australia where no electronic database exists
as the cost of gathering the information doesn't warrant it (yet).

Unfortunately no. The reason SWER is such an issue, is that there is no
database.
The reason for this is that they are private - not infrastructure.

If there was a database (and there is for mains power lines etc) then it
could be installed into FLARM - which is what they do in Europe.
It could also be put into SeeYou, WinPilot and XCSoar very easily to
display, but not necessarily to warn.
