I phrased and proposed the wording of that motion at the GQ meeting and
almost said "mandatory recommended" the oxymoron used by the NAS2c
implementation committee when they were selling the multiple calls in the
circuit. :-))

BTW how are you guys doing with these calls? Able to get them in every
circuit? The NASIG are going around RAPAC's asking for comments. From the
NT RAPAC minutes:
NAS

Lisa Duncan from the NASIG advised that a post implementation review of NAS
stage 2c is to be conducted over the next six months and feedback was being
sought on how the new procedures were operating. They had spoken to CASA
FOIs who had advised that NAS stage 2c was going well. ATSB confirmed that
there were minimal incidents reported.

Lisa advised that they were at the meeting to consult not to change anything
other than possibly to look at discrete frequencies for aerodromes with a
lot of traffic and which might benefit form a separate frequency.

A number of members had strong views on the problems being caused by the new
procedures and asked if nothing was going to change, why consult.

The 126.7 default frequency was not working because it was overloaded with
circuit calls. There are too many mandatory calls in the circuit and VFR
aircraft can be in the same piece of airspace on different frequencies.

The Convenor pointed out that there is a wide gulf of distrust between NAS
and industry, so far as industry is concerned.

Lisa agreed to attempt to experience the problems first hand by monitoring
and recording the CTAF frequency at MKT on a weekend.

Members were asked to submit incident reports or ASRS reports to ensure that
documentary evidence is available when post implementation reports on other
reviews are conducted.
