My experience with Magna's is all positive....I ran a '95 3L V 6 auto wagon
to 280,000 km over nearly ten years with no problems....ok I replaced the
radiator because the plastic tanks deteriorated [just before I sold it], but
I sold it with original ancillary and air con equipment, other than the
radiator not having done anything outside normal servicing. I didn't do a
lot of towing with it, but I gave it a hiding coming back [to Balak from
Waikerie] with a mini nimbus behind it on a stinking hot day with strong nth
winds....and found out finally what the 'power' button did. It handled the
treatment with aplomb.

I have to agree with Dave re gas... I now have a dual fuel 3.5L magna
and I think it a great car....it towed an ASK 21 to Waikerie and back
comfortably.

On normal running it returns 12 L / 100 km on gas @ around 50c/L

Means it costs me around $6.50 /100 km on gas as opposed to 10 L / 100 Km
petrol @ around $1.30 / L ....$13.00 / 100 Km.

$6.50/ 100 km is around what it costs to run Peugeot 307 Diesel so I
reckon for a large wagon with good towing ability, $6.50/ C km is about as
good as you can get.

Unfortunately I've done about 35000 km in the first year, but at least that
means I've spent roughly $2250.00 less on fuel by running LPG in the first
year I've had the car.

      Magna's are under rated.

PS I looked at getting a gassed holden but found that the valve
equipment is not designed to cope with LPG, and people [taxi drivers] were
telling me if you wanted to keep one for any length of time, an after market
upper cylinder lube kit needed to be fitted, other wise valve guides wear
and oil consumption rises.
