Hi all, It is probably worth remembering that membership of this list is not restricted in any way.
The people reading these messages are not necessarily glider pilots or even involved in aviation; are not necessarily Australian; are not necessarily sympathetic towards gliding; and are certainly not necessarily your (or my) friends. This is not an attempt at censorship - I believe strongly in freedom of speech even when I think the speaker is being counter-productive or idiotic. It is merely an observation that this list is not the electronic equivalent of the gliding club bar. What appears on this list has been recorded permanently and publicly, and could be easily reproduced anywhere, anytime, for any reason. Something relevant, written over 1000 years ago: "The moving finger writes; and having writ, moves on. Nor all thy piety and wit shall lure it back to cancel half a line, nor all thy tears wash out one word of it."
