I also used the 3M tape to stick the projector screen to the frame on my
gliding Sim. Very strong stuff!

Anyone on the list have any experience with steel – steel adhesives.
We are considering fixing the sheet steel (colourbond) to the steel frame
on a sailplane trailer
(as many of the modern pantechs are now made).
Apparently, this method of fixing the cladding is not only water-proof but
also stronger (and looks great
Also) than the traditional fixing methods (screws, rivets etc).

We used this for the roof of our pie cart, John. Redmond has a
source, there's a 3M double-sided tape which is stronger than
  rivets.

(don't get it wrong, it ain't moving after it's touched the tape :-)
