The 3M is the way to go, easy, clean and really strong.
Make sure the pannels are prestressed to eliminate oilcaning.

Looks fantastic.

John,

One of the 3M VHB double sided tapes will do a good job.

A link to the data page is available from:

http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/Manufacturing/Industry/Product-Catalog/Bonding-Solutions/

We used it on the pie cart roof to avoid rivet holes. It sticks like the
proverbial to a blanket. Accordingly once the cladding is laid down on the
tape it stays put – if it’s out of line tough!

Gary Hollands used it on a glider trailer ages ago. It’s still going strong.

If you want to have a talk about how to get the cladding laid down right give
me a call on 0400 299 571.

Cheers
Redmond

Anyone on the list have any experience with steel – steel adhesives.
We are considering fixing the sheet steel (colourbond) to the steel frame on a
sailplane trailer
(as many of the modern pantechs are now made).
Apparently, this method of fixing the cladding is not only water-proof but also
stronger (and looks great
Also) than the traditional fixing methods (screws, rivets etc).
