Actually it is right on topic for talking about electric propulsion of gliders.
But at least with the Tesla you can pull over and get out if the
batteries catch fire.

How long are you finding laptop batteries lasting in calendar time?
Elon has far more important work than messing about with toy cars.
When you have your own space program who needs electric cars as a
distraction? Go Falcon 9/Dragon!
