Interesting registration, CQD. Prior to 1912 it was the morse code distress
signal. CQ = calling all stations. D = distress. Replaced by SOS circa 1912.

Did you get many offers of help?

  Subject: [Aus-soaring] Sale of IS28s

Please could you include the following:

Sale of IS28s. Due to fleet restructuring the Gliding Club of Victoria
offers for sale one of its IS28s - either CQD (7,500 hours TT) or WVV (13,250
hours TT). Both 28s are in very good condition with standard instruments and
radios. The prices are $19,000 and $16,000 respectively and it was thought
that WVV could be attractive to a small club or syndicate. Call Robert on 03
9489 4298 or [email protected].

We have our second ASK-21 about to come on line and would be pleased if
another club would benefit from our well-maintained 28s,
  Bernard Barry
