Hi Ted, if your main / only aim is to fly the tug, there is an alternate
holding a class 2 medical - the Rec Pilots Licence for which CASA exemption
(Ex 68/12) allows you to fly solo with certain restrictions.

You are required to undergo a Drivers Licence Medical - Aviation (DLMA)
examination by a GP.
Once you have done this, copies of the paperwork are submitted to CASA
electronically. (The Licencing bureaucrats are not involved!!)
