Is Oracle planning to run a SUSv7-tc2 certification?
I don't know which version we plan to certify against next, and probably
couldn't pre-announce it here if I did.
I have to ask, what is the likelihood this will actually happen? Hasn't
Oracle essentially ended Solaris development?
The rumors of our demise have been somewhat exaggerated.
While we lost a lot of engineers, there's still hundreds of us left working
on Solaris 11.4, which our VP's have recently publicly confirmed, during both
the SPARC M8 product launch and presentations this week at Oracle OpenWorld,
is planned to ship in calendar year 2018.
