A short user guide on Writer/Web has been on the "needed" list for years. We all know that OOo is not the best choice for creating or editing web pages, but people do use it for that purpose as well as for turning web pages into ODT documents. So providing some info and instructions, preferably beyond the obvious, would be good.
It would be a good project for someone who would like to practice their techwriting skills (and gain a nice item for their portfolio). You'll need to know a bit about HTML to understand what's going on behind the scenes and why some things work (or don't) the way they do. If this project interests you, please let us know. If you need help getting started, tell us that too. The first step would be to create an outline for the guide. (Note: the Getting Started guide chapter on creating web pages covers only the export-to-HTML functions of OOo, which are a different topic.) --Jean --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
