To which I add, it's Linda's design, and I wouldn't change it without her complete approval. But that's no reason for the rest of us to not discuss possible changes and bounce ideas around.


I talked in my previous note about the interior title page and the chapter title pages within the books. Because these are part of the book design, I want Linda to design them (assuming she has time and wants to do it). But again, that's no reason why the rest of us shouldn't discuss what we think or prefer.

I find that discussions on areas of my expertise valuable, even when I reject everyone else's suggestions ;-) That doesn't happen very often; and even when it does, the suggestions usually spark some other good idea that gets incorporated into the template or the style guide or whatever. So the community benefits from the discussions.
