We can provide some form of training right now. We can point you to good resources for writing, editing, or style; we can answer questions; and we can provide feedback from your editing. Is there anything in particular you had in mind? Is there a particular area you would like training on? Writing? Editing? Style? Using OOo? > Another thing that I am wondering about is how is the guide going to be > available? > Will it be in OOo format, PDF both or one? > Will it be in the present letter size? * Letter size. Though the template is designed so it can print just fine on A4 paper. * We will send PDF files to the documentation project. * We will make PDF and SXW files available from the OOoAuthors site. * Alex Fisher, from the CDROM distribution project, will include copies of the guide in the OOo CDROM (or possibly in a second, 'extras' CD). * Some people have suggested that we make a physical book and distribute it using a service like Lulu.com. That's certainly a neat idea, and it would reach an additional group of people. > I would like to print out some stuff to reference in say half letter > size, similar to a book that I can reference and have readily available. OOo has a "brochure" printing option that'll do what you want. I used to have instructions for it, but alas, I can't find it. I think I've long lost it. When the Printing chapter is done, it'll surely include instructions on how to do this.
