I am a French freelance translator based in Japan, and I a taking part
in an open source project that aims at creating a robust computer
assisted translation tool based on translation memories. We released
1.4.5 yesterday by the way...

It is :) And it's the main reason why I got hooked to OOo too :)
Also, I am not only here to "sell" my stuff, but of course to find
other complementary ways to contribute to OOo on the text side of
things :)

Well, I just checked the French section and it looks, well, empty :)
I imagined there would be a lot of texts ! There are plenty of how-to
etc on the French OOo site, aren't both sites connected ?
