But don't you think that a form would make it inpersonal?

More importantly, I think it's important that the contributor join the mailing list and introduce themselves. The current system has that feature.

(-: No way! Every member perhaps, but everyone no! :-) (I think You mean every member can edit....)

But since everyone can become a member without asking permission... there's no real difference between "every member can edit" and "everyone can edit".
