Docking
Some windows in StarOffice, for example the Styles and Formatting window
and the Navigator, are "dockable" windows. You can move these windows,
re-size them or dock them to an edge. On each edge you can dock several
windows on top of, or alongside each other; then, by moving the border
lines, you can change the relative proportions of the windows.
To undock and re-dock, double-click a vacant area in the window. In the
Styles and Formatting window, you can also double-click a gray part of
the window next to the icons.
Those instructions are also wrong or at least incomplete. The
Help in OOo2.0.2 is, I believe, correct; at least it works for me
(WinXP SP2) and Dan Lewis says it works on his Linux box. The
help says to use CTRL+double-click. Double-click does not work
for me; CTRL+double-click does work. I have not had a chance to
check the Mac.
If double-click works for some people and CTRL+double-click for
others, I can say that when I revise the "Menus and Toolbars"
chapter. BTW, I will also update the bit on docking/undocking in
Chapter 1 of the Writer Guide and also check the other books to
see if it's mentioned and change it if necessary.
