I've noticed when you click on the Creative Commons license link on our
site ( http://oooauthors.org/en/authors/userguide2/LICENSE ) you are
taken to the Creative Commons license Attribution license page:

http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0/

on that page it states "A new version of this license is available. You
should use it for new works, and you may want to relicense existing
works under it. No works are automatically put under the new license,
however."

The new license is version 2.5...the question is are we using it? If so
the template and website should be changed to reflect this.

Thanks, Rick. I think we are using v2.5 of the license for new work and revisions. Yet another thing to update on the website! Thanks for catching this.

And thanks to Gary Schnabl who has been revising the template and other docs as he reviews them.

I'll go through Gary's revisions and accept them asap and replace the template on the website.

BTW, Gary: I have some other changes to the template and the how-to that you would not have known about, so when I go through them I'll add my changes as well.

Thanks, guys!

I didn't do the "template" proper, just its How-to. I might just do that anyway. I haven't as yet even used it. Because I only cherry-picked bits and pieces from V1 and V2 in the past, I started reading (and reviewing) Chapter 1 of the Writer Guide this afternoon.
