Perhaps the way to go for some things is two chapters, or maybe a second book, "Advanced OOo topics." I'm not sure, but, as I said, my opinion is to get a full Calc guide out the door and then build on it.

I absolutely agree. I have 25 years of experience in publishing a "good enough" book to a deadline, then improving on it as time and resources permit. Much better to have something than nothing, as long as the something is accurate (ie not wrong) in what it says. Incomplete is acceptable. To paraphrase Daniel, "I don't want it perfect; I want it by the end of August." :-)

Of course, having it perfect by the end of August would be even better, but I'm a pragmatic realist about these things.
