Even though some of the chapters of the Writer Guide are being
reviewed (again), or are awaiting review, I have put together a
Third Edition of the printed version of the book, formatted for
6x9-inch pages. This edition includes Appendix A and the index.
I plan to publish this new edition on Lulu within a few days.
I've been looking at the book for so long that I can't see even
obvious mistakes, so I hope someone else can spot any that are
left. In particular, I would be grateful if someone would check
the figure numbering (to see if any numbers are skipped or
repeated or out of order), and do a random check on
cross-references to figure numbers and page numbers. We've had
problems in the past with cross-refs in particular getting messed
up in master docs, so I turned this book into one single file in
the hope that the numbering would sort itself out.
I have uploaded ODT and PDF versions of the book. I recommend
checking the PDF version as that is the one from which the book
will be printed.
