Dear Jean

What Wolfgang wrote seems perfectly correct, at least from a read of the
first chapter. I could envisage it to be very much a review of the two
documents, then a cut and paste exercise in the main, with translation of the
new phrases/sentences/paras where needed. Naturally screenshots etc would need
to be redone as they show the German GUI.
I would have an interest in at least doing the text (and perhaps graphics
depending on whether the UI has to be Lin or Win based) in the first chapter,
and then seeing how it goes from there on a chapter by chapter basis.
I am not a professional in the translation field, just an Aussie living in
Switzerland with some German ability, an interest in OOo and some time
available - at least for a few weeks after I return home on Sunday from China.

If there is someone else more skilled and faster at doing this then I am also
most happy :=)
regards from Chengdu
Martin
