I wrote to Andrew privately about this, to help ensure that he sees
the note soon. Below is what I said.

1. I think that the chapter will be removed from the OOo Official
documentation.
Why do you think it will be removed? Or, who do you think will remove
it? If you want it removed, we'll certainly honor your preference.
Otherwise, just because it's no longer part of the Getting Started
book doesn't mean anyone here will remove it completely. We
(OOoAuthors and the OOo Documentation Project) are getting to the
point of developing a lot more material than just the books.
I meant from the getting started guide.
This was meant as an observation, not a request.
2. The content is NOT covered elsewhere in the documentation.
A good reason for keeping it as part of the official OOo
documentation, if that's okay with you.
I am fine with that
3. I updated the chapter to reflect OOo 2.0 (I did this so that the
OOo Authors version would be current), but did not revisit for later
releases. Difficult to convince myself to update it again since it
will be dropped from the general documentation (and I am a wee bit
over-worked).
I certainly appreciate the "over-worked" problem, and will understand
if you want to withdraw the document.
Jean, I suspect that you take on more than I :-)
You can also assume that for the most part, I will give you what ever
you ask. If you show up in Columbus Ohio, my wife and I would give you
(and as many traveling companions as we can house) a place to sleep and
feed you during your visit. Then again, that probably will not happen.
Not many people have a dream to see Ohio.
