It's been over a year that I made any major changes (other than undisclosed revisions) to them. It's time to standardize them, remove deadwood, and introduce new styles, etc. (I think that our style guide says not to use etc...).

The older versions contained undisclosed bug fixes or kludges that were in use previously. In case any of them still are employed, these should be disclosed so that using the OOoAuthors template need not be so esoteric to newcomers--with its secret handshakes and all. Perhaps, an Appendix can contain such items. In case any writers (instead of editors) were using any kludges of their own, it would help to have them listed there too.

Again, we should go into some detail about how, where, when, and why some of the various styles are used so that less editing need be performed when standardizing various formats among chapters.

What was clearly absent from earlier versions was a set of detailed instructions about bulleted and numbered lists. This formatting should be made clearer.

To this end, writers/editors could make suggestions for updating the template.
