No other reason. However, keep in mind that some users place more
importance on consistency than others do.

Our guidelines recommend that in any one chapter, all the screenshots be
from the same o/s and theme, but in practice many chapters are not
internally consistent.

I consider consistency of screenshots to be a low-priority concern (in the
"nice-to-have" category), so I have been publishing chapters with mixed
screenshots rather than waiting for someone to have time to make them
consistent.

Of rather more importance is getting the labels and callouts (done with
Writer's drawing tools) included in the images, but while people are doing
those fixes, they might as well redo all the screenshots for consistency.

BTW, Peter H-B and I chose the WinXP silver theme because it's the best
one
we've found for producing crisp, clear screenshots that print well in both
colour and black-and-white and look good when viewed on screen. I would
prefer to use a Linux theme, but haven't found one that suits our
criteria.

I would also like to have more screenshots done with Linux, but I agree with
Jean that it is not so easy. KDE or Gnome? and what about the
customizations? It is not just a matter of colour schemes. At present my
window border has four buttons instead of the usual 3, but up until a while
ago I used one window border with no buttons at all. There are several
Mac-look-alike schemes where the buttons are on the top-left side of the
window. In summary I think we risk to confuse people. Besides, I read a
while ago that the majority of the OOo downloads is for windows system so so
I think we should stick to WinXP silver theme.

Cheers,

Michele
