I created an XML version of Writer Ch 1 (still incomplete--character
styles need to be added). However, attempts to open it cause v. 2.3 beta
to freeze and I must abort OOo afterwards.
Somebody--see if this file works with your OOo. It works fine with
oXygen--its creator. Other XML files seem to work with my v. 2.3.

What do you mean by opening the file? Downloading the file and then
opening it in writer using windows XP works. Forgot to mention that I
use the released dutch version 2.2
