I had so much trouble with compiling books using the master documents that I stopped doing it. The main problem was that many of the cross-references (within individual chapters) went wrong when the chapters were compiled into a book using a master document.
Instead I put all the chapters together into one file manually when I wanted to make a book. I found that the problems with cross-refrences did not occur when the book was created in this way.
I have the master docs on my computer, but they are probably out of date (for example, they may not have all the names listed in the "Authors" section, and the publication date and software version may be old). I can upload them to the website, but you will need to bring them up to date before using them to compile a book.
