I have started doing some research and it appears that there are no new features with regards to mail merge in 2.4. There may be something in OOo 3.0 but it is too early to know if it will make the final cut. My proposal therefore is to upload the "revised" chapter with the styles from the new template in the OOo3.0 directory. Cheers, Michele
