I have taken a look at the latest development snapshot release notes here:

and as far as I can tell these are the updates we should apply to the Writer
user guide:

1) multipage zoom

Thanks for the list, Michele.

Another one that I discovered as soon as I opened the beta is the ability to display two pages side-by-side and edit them. VERY useful!
(Previously the side-by-side display was view-only.) You have a choice
of "single page", "two pages", and my favourite -- "facing pages"
(great for layout of books. There are tiny icons in the Status Bar to
allow quick switching between the three choices (just to the left of the zoom slider)... or is that a subset of the "multipage zoom"?

At this point I'm not volunteering to write about any of them. However, today I did add a short section to Chapter 3 about the "block select" feature in 2.4. I'll upload the revised file soon, though I can't decide just where to put it... in with the 2.3.x files, perhaps?

Lastly, what if any of the extensions do we want to writer about in the Writer Guide? PDF import when it's available, I assume. And as I mentioned in a different thread, André Schnabel's Template Changer (http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/project/templatechanger), sounds great (much in demand by technical writers, amongst others), though I haven't tried it yet.
