I'll set up a list on the forum of who's doing what, such as maintenance editors and the like. But with the dearth of helpers recently, I can assume that most of those maintainers would be me, myself, and I for the Writer Guide and the others too, I betcha. Anyway, I'll set up a list where others can volunteer for whatever they want to take on for any of the guides.
I am happy to take responsibility for the Getting Started Guide, though I will need people to help on some specific chapters.
As there is considerable overlap between some of the GS chapters and portions of some chapters of the other books, I will liaise with whoever is doing the corresponding bits in the other books so we don't do the same info twice.
I also plan to re-evaluate some of the GS chapters with a view to improving them. In the fourth edition of GS 2.x (published earlier this month), I added some material and rearranged a bit more. I have a list of improvements identified by various people which were put into the "not now; do for V3.0" bucket. Now is the time!
I'll get all that organised and on the forum as soon as I can. --Jean
