Hello, I have made some revisions to chapter 1 of the Writer guide. As there is no maintainer for this chapter I guess it will be up to Gary to accept/reject the edits.
Personally I think the chapter is in a good shape: it covers some of the most prominent new functionalities of OOo3.0 with the exception of the start screen (which, on the other hand, is not Writer-specific).
